Every fall, each resort spends a month on hill before the snow actually starts accumulating to do some on-hill maintenance. This involves cutting up fallen trees, re-placing cable and basic repairs to the resorts infrastructure before the landscape is buried under five feet of snow.
At The Canyons Resort, terrain park manager Steve Duke and his fellow terrain park staff drove up to the Sundial Park and looked at their surroundings and though about how to improve their park this year by utilizing the natural lay of the land. The diagnosis is as follows with informative photos and analysis. Who would have thought snowpark building would also double as landscape architecture?

This Friday 8/28/09 don't miss the World Premiere of Absinthe Films new shred Flick "Neverland" in Salt Lake City at the Tower Theater. If you are in Park City you can catch it at the Egyptian Theater on the following night Saturday 8/29/09. Don't miss this movie. Lots of great Utah footage staring a lot of local pros.

This year at Brighton we want to make a big deal out of the first day that season passes go on sale! We have come up with the idea of “Passapalooza”. The event will be held Friday, August 28th 2009 at Brighton Resort from 4-11pm.
