SNOWBIRD, UTAH – The 11th annual fund- and awareness-raising celebration at Snowbird Ski & Summer Resort to benefit the Cancer Wellness House known as Survivors at the Summit is Saturday, Aug. 11.

Image The Survivors at the Summit celebration includes a pancake breakfast on the Snowbird Center Plaza Deck Saturday morning, followed by a hike or Tram ride to Hidden Peak. The 3.5-mile hike represents the challenges that people of all ages with all kinds of cancer face. People whose lives have been touched by the disease will be honored by a sea of yellow flags bearing their names high atop Hidden Peak during the Celebration of Life ceremony.

In addition to celebrating the lives of individuals who have had cancer, Survivors at the Summit is the signature fund-raiser for the Cancer Wellness House, a non-profit organization providing free resources to anyone whose life has been affected by cancer.

The pancake breakfast is $3 per person and there will be raffle tickets for sale for $3 per ticket or five for $10. All proceeds go to the Cancer Wellness House. To access the pancake breakfast and Hidden Peak hike take Little Cottonwood Road to Snowbird Entry 2.

Know Before You Go - This Tuesday
A critical need exists for basic avalanche education for all ski and snowboarders in Utah. Just as students in Hawaii learn about the dangers of rip tides and shore breaks at an early age, snow sports enthusiasts in Utah need to learn about snow safety and avalanches. The rising number [...]
