Opening day this year was heavily helped by last weeks snowstorm and the 46" it produced. Filing in all the runs at most resorts and providing enough coverage for Snowbird to open early with Brighton today opening for the 2008-2009 season. With tickets running $45.00 for a full day, or $22.00 with a donated food item, there were plenty of people taking advantage or the openign season, but also enough snow to go around. For most of the morning, it was fogged in with little to no sun heating up the new snow accumulated over night. With four of six lifts running the masses filled in the holes left over by the storm, making the next storm a safter bet while ventureing out into the trees.
